Priscilla Hon has taken her winning streak in Seoul to four with a straight-sets victory over Arantxa Rus on Thursday.

In a battle of the qualifiers, 19-year-old Hon beat the former world No.61 7-5 6-4 in one hour, 45 minutes.

She closed out victory on her fourth match point with a forehand winner.

With her first-round victory, Hon won her first ever WTA main draw match. And she’s kept that going, setting up a quarterfinal with Rus’ fellow Dutchwoman Richel Hogenkamp.

Hogenkamp earlier beat Denisa Allertova 6-4 6-4.

Hon, currently ranked No.308, is projected to vault 75 places to No.233 – and will go even higher if she beats Hogenkamp – when the new rankings are released on Monday.

Her success mirrors the performance of fellow Queensland teen Lizette Cabrera, who on Wednesday reached her first ever WTA quarterfinal with a win over third seed Anett Kontaveit in Guangzhou.
