Alex De Minaur and John Millman will continue their career-best seasons at the ATP Paris Masters this week.

De Minaur will line up against qualifier Feliciano Lopez in the first round, with the winner advancing to a second-round meeting 15th seed Diego Schwartzman.

> ATP Paris Masters main draw

De Minaur beat Lopez en route to the final in Sydney, one of two ATP finals he has made in 2018.

Lopez beat another Australian, Matt Ebden, in the final round of qualifying in Paris.

Millman, meanwhile, has a tough draw; he opens against the in-form Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili and if he wins he would meet No.7 seed Kevin Anderson, a winner yesterday of the Vienna Open title.

As reported last week, Ash Barty heads to Zhuhai for this week’s WTA Elite Trophy.

The tournament is open to players ranked 9-19 plus one wildcard to make up the 12-player field.

The draw was conducted on Monday, with players split of into four groups of three; Barty finds herself in the Orchid Group with Aryna Sabalenka and Caroline Garcia.

The best-performed player from each group advances to the knock-out semifinal stage.

Barty, currently ranked 19th, has qualified for the tournament for the second straight year; in 2017 she reached the semifinals.

Last week she and teammate CoCo Vandeweghe fell in the doubles semifinals at the WTA Finals in Singapore.
