John Millman beats Bernard Tomic in an all-Aussie affair to reach the second round in Estoril, while Ajla Tomljanovic wins her opening-round match in Rabat.

John Millman won his all-Queensland clash with Bernard Tomic to progress to the second round of the ATP Estoril Open in Portugal.
Millman beat Tomic 6-3 6-0 in 51 minutes to set up a clash in the last 16 with Portuguese qualifier Joao Domingues, who a day earlier beat Australia’s Alex de Minaur.
Millman levels his head-to-head series against Tomic at 2-2, having won their past two meetings in straight sets.

Another Aussie, Alexei Popyrin, fell 6-4 2-6 6-2 to defending champion Joao Sousa in a match spanning more than two hours.
Popyrin had earlier won two matches to qualify for the main draw.
At the WTA tournament in Rabat, fourth seed Ajla Tomljanovic reached the second round with a 6-4 6-4 win over French qualifier Fiona Ferro.
Tomljanovic had lost her last two matches but rebounded with victory in one hour and 37 minutes to advance to a second-round showdown with former top-10 player Timea Bacsinszky.

Daria Gavrilova fought hard in her first-round match against No.2 seed Hsieh Su-Wei but went down 6-1 3-6 6-2.
