Office of the Children’s Guardian Protective Behaviours Campaign

Over the past 12 months Tennis NSW has been collaborating with both the NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian (OCG) and the NSW Office of Sport on the production of the ‘Protective Behaviours’ video campaign. The campaign focuses on a number of talented junior players across a number of sports. The athletes are shown delivering short, sharp, child safety messages. The snappy ‘Tik Tok’ style format, coupled with the fact that the messages are being delivered by young athlete role models, is intended to be catchy and engaging for other young people involved in sport, and is targeted at encouraging them to think about protective behaviours they can implement in their own lives to ensure they feel safe whilst participating in sport.

Tennis NSW had four junior athletes participate as follows:

  • Flynn Coventry-Searle
  • Mitchell Coventry-Searle
  • Renee Alame
  • Rianna Alame

The videos are being promoted through the OCG/ Office of Sport social channels as well as Tennis NSW socials. Specifically, the videos also formed a part of our Youth Week campaign.
