The NSWPSSA team competed in Perth from the the 14-21 October.
8 states played in the event inaugurated in 1938 by the then Queensland Minister for Education, Harry Bruce.
Many of the greats of NSW tennis including, Ken Rosewall, 1948, Jan Lehane 1954, Todd Woodbridge 1982 have used this event to launch successful international careers.
Over the course of the week, the NSW team remained undefeated against the previous holders Queensland in the final – 17 matches to 7.
The team displayed excellent team work, passion and respect for all players, with the future looking bright for some of our young tennis players.
