Day 1 of the NSW Open has come to an end, with 28 matches played at Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre in the Men’s and Women’s Qualifying.
NSW Player Jeremy Jin had a hard-fought win over Aaron Addison (8) 1-6, 7-6(4), 6-4, to advance into the second round of Qualifying. Blake Mott (NSW) also won defeating Edward Winter (AUS) 6-3, 6-2 and Jordan Smith (NSW) defeated Kuan Yu Chen (TPE) 6-4 6-3.
In the Women’s Qualifying event NSW players Lisa Mays (NSW) and Zara Brankovic (NSW) both won their matches with Lisa defeating Elyana Moonen (NSW) 6-0, 6-0 and Zara defeating Lara Walker (AUS) 6-4, 6-2.
On the schedule for Monday 31st October, we will see the final round of Qualifying in both the Men’s and Women’s events and 4 Men’s first round Main Draw Singles matches.
