Are you a current Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO) at your club? Are you interested in becoming one? Or maybe just want to stay up to date with the latest information and resources?

We are re-launching our MPIO Network (the Network) and are calling for all interested club committee members to express their interest in being a part of the group.

Not sure what an MPIO is? An MPIO is the person who is the first port of call for players, administrators, coaches and officials if they are feeling unsafe or have a concern. That may sound daunting, but an MPIO is not responsible for solving problems, rather it is the person who listens and then directs the issue to the most appropriate person to handle the matter. More information about the role of an MPIO, and how to appoint one, can be found here.

MPIOs in tennis across NSW are fully supported by Tennis NSW in ensuring they are comfortable and can seek advice when needed. MPIOs are critical to best practice operations of your club or tennis organisation.

The MPIO Network provides a safe space for people to seek advice, hear from other MPIOs around the state and stay up to date with the latest information, training, resources and legislation. The Network is lead by Tennis NSW Head of Policy, Integrity and Risk, Matt Allen.

Over the next 12 months we will host several online webinars:
