Hot Shots Tennis Racquet Roadshow returns to NSW with visit from John Fitzgerald

The Hot Shots Tennis Racquet Roadshow has returned to NSW for another year, with over 200 students from Gunnedah South Primary School receiving brand new racquets from Aussie tennis legend John Fitzgerald.

The Tennis Australia initiative will see new racquets distributed to primary school students around the nation in the coming months. This builds on the 200,000 racquets distributed across the country over the past ten years.

Hot Shots Tennis is already one of leading initiatives program delivered through the Australian Sports Commission Sporting Schools initiative. It is hoped the program will encourage Aussies to pick up tennis again and inspire the next generation to develop a lifelong love for tennis.

“Visiting Gunnedah South Primary School has been an incredible experience. Seeing the excitement on the faces of over 200 kids as they received their free tennis racquets was truly heartwarming. It’s inspiring to know that this gesture could be the beginning of many of their tennis journeys, and I can’t wait to see where their passion and dedication take them in the future.” Fitzgerald said.
