Day one of qualifying is concluded at the 2024 Perpetual NSW Open
Number 1 seed in the women’s qualifying, Monique Barry (NZL) defeated WC Koharu Nishikawa (AUS) 6-4 6-2, while wildcards Kimiko Cooper and Ava Beck from Australia both won their first round matches.
In the men’s qualifying, wildcard Cruz Hewitt defeated number 5 seed Makoto Ochi 6-2 0-6 7-6 (4) to reach the second round of qualifying for the second consecutive week.
