Sydney Badge Reserve Players
CLICK HERE TO BECOME A RESERVE PLAYER
Reserve players are players used by a team throughout the season who are not listed as base players on the team entry application at the time of grading.
The 2024 Badge Season will see Open Reserves and Closed Reserves.
Open Reserves are not specific to teams or clubs. All clubs will have access to the same ‘pool’ of Reserve players. Captains and Delegates will have access to the Open Reserve pool which will show players names, contact details, Badge UTR’s and area of residence.
Closed Reserves are specific to clubs and teams. Clubs can have a maximum of two closed reserves per team and the players must be member of that specific club to become a closed reserve for that team.
Registrations to be a reserve will open on Monday 4 March via an Airtable form. The link to the form will be available here and will also be sent out to Badge Delegates. Players wanting to register as a closed reserve will register via the same form and will need to nominate which club they are a closed reserve for.
Reserves – Base Players
If a reserve competes for a team three times throughout the season, they will automatically become a base player for that team. The only exception to this will be if that team already has the maximum number of base players (12).
