Information for Clubs & Coaches
Tennis NSW is committed to embracing diversity by ensuring our sport and events welcoming, safe and inclusive for everyone. We believe that being inclusive is reflecting the diversity of our local communities and that everyone should have the opportunity to be included and engaged through tennis in a way that is positive and meaningful.
Inclusion is about providing choice for people to participate in sport in a way that they feel comfortable.
We can help connect you to a range of opportunities along the wheelchair tennis pathway from the novice through to elite; through clubs, coaches and wheelchair tennis hubs and their programs for all wheelchair ability.

WHEELCHAIR SPORT NSW/ACT
Wheelchair Tennis follows traditional tennis rules and requires great levels of skill, fitness and strategy. The only difference in wheelchair tennis competitions, is that the players are allowed two bounces of the ball; the first bounce being within the bounds of the court.
To be eligible for these competitions, the athlete must be classified as having a mobility-related disability. Players are classified on a skills basis in the following categories: Open – Elite level players A, B, C, D – Graded players. There is a separate division for quad players.
