Super 10s
Super 10s is a National team based competition for players in the 10 & under age group. In 2016 eligible for Super 10s will be those born between the years 2006 and 2009.
Super 10s aims to encourage a culture of fair play and team work as well as encourage players to focus on player development objectives ahead of match results.
HOW DOES THE SUPER 10s WORK?
Coaches are asked to nominate players they believe are ready for the Super 10s. Tennis NT then makes offers to selected players to participate in a season. If players are unavailable further offers will be made.
Metro / Central
Each team consists of five players and a coach. All players are provided team playing shirts. The coach will sit courtside for matches (Davis/Fed Cup style) and assist players with advise while they compete.
Southern
Each team consists of four players. A coach will be at the venue, wandering around the courts assisting players with advice during their matches.
Format
> Each tie consists of four singles and two doubles matches
> Matches are timed and last for 50 minutes
> All matches are played with the Wilson Green Dot Balls (75 per cent compression of a yellow ball)
During each season, awards will be given out for those players that are achieving player development objectives. These awards will count towards their teams overall score;
