DTC Sports secured their third straight victory over LifeTime Gardens 11 rubbers to 7.

Gardens got off to a great start with Damien Mamolo and Daniel Parker pairing together for a convincing 6-0 6-2 win over DTC Sports’ Kacy Brennan and Hamish Martin. Both Mamolo and Parker continued their great form in their respective singles; Mamolo defeating Brennan 6-0 6-3 while Parker defeated Nicholas Munro 6-2 6-1.

Des McLellan and Mark Pead also scored a vital doubles win for Gardens, taking the rubber 6-2 7-6 over Munro and Jamie Stefanato. McLellan and Pead both came from a set down in their respective singles to add to the Gardens total.

NTIS athletes Emily Moo and Ben Lye teamed together for the first time for a comfortable 6-1 6-1 win over Gardens’ pairing Darren Jakobson and Renee Van der Poel. In the singles Lye overcame Gardens veteran Dave Bridges 6-2 2-6 7-6 (9) while Moo defeated Jakobson 6-2 6-2.

Des McLellan now moves to the top of the Player of the Year leader board with 4 Rubbers, 9 Sets and 82 Games. A total of 14 games separate the remaining top 5 players.

DTC Sports remain on top of the Premiership Table with 35 Rubbers: 76 Sets: 620 Games and a total of 88 points.
