Tennis Gove Club Manager, Nicky Mayer and club members Nicole Zimmermann and Sharon Mery recently competed in the “AirNorth Ladies Fishing Classic” in Nhulunbuy.
The team “Game, Set, Catch” named appropriately for the catch and release competition, donned MLC Tennis Hot Shots nets and old tennis racquet’s which they transformed into fishing ‘racquet’ nets, to catch the many fish ….. or tennis balls they caught over the weekend.
Tennis Gove also sponsored a prize in the raffle, with all funds raised going to the “Look Good, Feel Better” cancer patient campaign of the NT.
