Yet another milestone has been reached in the countdown towards the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group quarter-finals tie between Australia and Kazakhstan.

The portable grandstands have arrived and are being locked in place, ready for action.

“With the capacity to hold 4,500 enthusiastic tennis fans, the grandstands are, of course, integral to the tie and they are quite a sight” Sports and Recreation Minister Gary Higgins said.

Tennis Australia Events Manager Paul Daly said the arrival of the grandstands is just another step in the bump-in process and everything is coming along nicely.

“The grass courts are well on track and we’re looking forward to hosting this Davis Cup tie to showcase Darwin to the rest of Australia and the world.” Mr Daly said

Tickets to the quarter-final clash are still available, but hurry they are selling fast! Tickets are available through Ticketek in either single session or three day packages.
