Our 2023 National Indigenous Carnival Deadly Award recipient Kimally Puruntatameri from the Tiwi Islands was at the Brisbane International last week.
The Deadly Award was chosen by all the players and staff at 2023 National Indigenous Tennis Carnival back in August. Players and staff would vote daily for players who showed respect, were helping others and giving back as well as players who were giving one hundred percent to their activities and matches.
Kimally got to meet Ash Barty, got a wave from Rafa, did the coin toss for a Main Draw Womens match, he was interviewed and hit on Pat Rafter arena.
Congratulations to Kimally, what an amazing experience for this legend!
