On the 14th of April, the MCDONALDS ALICE SPRINGS BEGINNER AND PERFORMANCE TOURNAMENTS came to a close, following a weekend of fun at Tennis Alice Springs.
Tournament Director and Tennis Alice Springs Head Coach Orin Harrison has a huge focus on getting people of all ages playing matches. You could see the evidence of this, with the age-range of entries varying from 5 years old to 68 years young. Every tournament at Alice Springs has new faces playing competitively for the first time, and their enjoyment of that experience encourages more people to have a go.
This tournament demonstrates one of the best things about tennis – it’s a sport that you can play across all ages.
Spectators and supporters relaxed in the club’s welcoming atmosphere with music playing and the delicious food on offer. This canteen likes to experiment, serving sushi and karage (fried chicken) alongside club-classics.
We look forward to seeing more innovation on and off the court from Alice Springs!
