Mya Priest from Jabiru has found herself as part of the largest ballkids crew in Australian Open history – overall there were 428 ballkids coming together. Mya was 1 of 2 ballkids at AO25 from the NT.

Mya got there through her involvement in tennis at her school where she undertook ballkid training, and her ballkid training and development at the National Indigenous Tennis Carnival held every August in Darwin – which her school was a part of.

At AO25, Mya met Evonne Goolagong-Cawley and Alexander Zverev. She also got up close to Novak Djokovic and the world’s number one, Jannik Sinner.  The First Nations Ballkids Program has representatives from each state and territory of Australia. We are so impressed with Mya’s work on the court and know that she has had an unforgettable experience.
