National Indigenous Tennis Carnival
8 AUG–11 AUG 2024The pinnacle event of the Indigenous tennis pathway - to celebrate indigenous cultures through tennis both on and off the court.
Tennis Pathway
NITC Showdown (tournament)
The tournament showcase’s the best Indigenous tennis talent in the country. Both the boys and the girls tournaments are split in 14&U and 18&U age groups with the winners being crowned the National Indigenous Tennis Champions with a chance to represent Australia.
NITC FAST4 (green ball)
This 18&U teams event provides a platform for up and coming Indigenous tennis players to transition from participation to the tournament stream.
NITC Big Serve (red ball)
This 12&U teams event focusses on driving participation at the grass roots level with players forming community-based teams during the event.

Other funding options
Sport Australia ‘Local Sporting Champions’ grant applies to children aged between 12-18 years. There are also a variety of state/ territory based funding sources that could be applicable. More information to be provided in due course.
