• started playing tennis aged four after watching his mother, Amanda, coach

• In 2009, was able to rub shoulders with some of the ATP and WTA tour stars, spending time hitting with players including Robin Soderling and Daniela Hantuchova; he said being exposed to such players “gives me a platform for where I need to be in tennis”
• also in 2009, enjoyed doubles success on the ITF junior doubles circuit with a win at the Darwin International event, and also reached the doubles final of two Australian Money Tournaments
• after qualifying for the Australian Open 2010 junior boys’ singles event, he pushed top seed Daniel Berta of Sweden to three tough sets in the first round, losing 8-6 in the third
• tennis hero is Andre Agassi for his dedication and persistence
• aims to represent Australia in senior Davis Cup and reach the world No.1 ranking
