The Honourable Mal Brough MP, Federal Member for Fisher officially opened the Sunshine Coast Regional Tennis Centre at Caloundra on Saturday 21 March 2015.

The first stage of the new facility includes nine new plexipave courts, lighting, fencing, shelters, pathways, disabled access, landscaping and car parks. Phase two and three of the new build will be done in the future and includes additional resurfacing of existing courts as well as a brand new clubhouse.

The centre is one of only seven regional tennis facilities across Queensland endorsed by Tennis Australia and Tennis Queensland and was developed in partnership with the Sunshine Coast Council, the Australian Government, Elite Tennis International and the Caloundra Tennis Association.
