Gold Coast has taken out the overall championships title for the second consecutive year at the 2010 Junior Teams Carnival (JTC) event.

The victorious region fought hard to retain their title, with Met North a very close second by only 2.19 points.

The event, which was run from Dec 11-15, involved over 350 junior tennis players from 7 different regions around Queensland and incorporated both individual and team formats at various centres around Brisbane including the Queensland Tennis Centre- “Home of the Brisbane International.”

Tournament Director Alishia Hocking, feels the JTC offers a unique experience for tennis players.

“Participating in the Junior Teams Carnival is a great experience for junior players because the opportunity to play in a team doesn’t usually present itself in an individual sport such as tennis.”
