Queenslanders Samantha Stosur and John Millman will battle it out against fellow Aussies on day three at the Brisbane International. Stosur will take on Jarmila Groth in the evening session on Pat Rafter Arena.
“It’ll be a tough match because Jarka (Jarmila Groth) has nothing to lose,” Stosur said.
Day two saw Stosur defeat Lucie Hradecka 7-6 6-1. The Czech had the crowds worried with a close first set, but Queensland’s golden girl took the match in style.
Stosur anticipates a hard road, but has her sights firmly set on gaining the title of her home tournament.
Queensland’s number one seeded player, John Millman, returns to Brisbane International on day three where he will battle it out against fellow Aussie Matt Ebden in the fourth match on Show Court One.
