The City of Ipswich Tennis International concluded on Sunday with Australian rising stars Sally Peers (Glen Waverley, Vic) and James Lemke (Camberwell, Vic) taking out the championship title.

Defending champion Peers claimed her second career ITF Pro Tour title by defeating world No.126 Lesia Tsurenko (UKR) in a hard-fought final. The Commonwealth Games gold medallist dropped the first set before overpowering the top seed, 5-7 7-5 6-0.

In the men’s draw, No.3 seed Lemke won his fourth ITF Pro Tour title by producing a commanding display against No.5 seed Erik Chvojka (CAN) in the final, 6-2 6-0.

The win in Ipswich gave the young Victorian his second title on the Australian Pro Tour this year, following his victory at the Mildura Grand International in February.

Lemke also paired with Dane Propoggia (Eastlakes, NSW) to win the men’s doubles, while former world No.39 Casey Dellacqua (Woodvale, WA)and Rogowska claimed their third women’s doubles title in 2011.
