$1.8 Million is being made available to rebuild flood damaged Queensland tennis facilities through the Tennis Flood Fightback Infrastructure Program.

The program has been launched by the Queensland Government Department of Communities: Sport & Recreation Services, in cooperation with Tennis Australia and Tennis Queensland.

The Tennis Queensland team which included President Ken Laffey, CEO Cameron Pearson, Facilities Manager Michael Blomer and Project Manager Ken Hick, visited all affiliated facilities that were affected by the devastating floods.

Looking forward, Tennis Queensland is now working with these damaged facilities to submit their projects for Tennis Flood Fightback Infrastructure funding.

Funding applications are NOW OPEN, and will close on Wednesday May 4, 2011. Any Associations and Clubs wishing to apply for funding need to download the Tennis Flood Fightback Guidelines  and fill out the Tennis Flood Fightback Application Form.

To be sure your club is eligible for this program please read the guidelines very carefully and wherever possible receive quotes from members of the Queensland Court Builders Association.
