Congratulations to North Queenland’s Samantha Nyika and Colby Norman, who represented Queensland in the Foundation Cup, held in Sydney from January 9^th to 12^th.   The Foundation Cup is an annual interstate challenge event for girls and boys aged 13 and under from rural and regional Australia.  One of the Foundation’s major aims is to assist Tennis Australia in identifying and nurturing talented young girls and boys who have the potential to one day represent their country in Fed Cup or Davis Cup Competition.  The Queensland boys won all their Round Robin matches but were beaten in the final play off by NSW, 4 rubbers to 2.  The Queensland girls came third.
