Have your say on the naming of Milton’s new tennis courts. The community courts are part of the proposed “Frew Park” re-development by the Brisbane City Council on the site where the old Queensland Tennis Centre was located at Milton.

Tennis Queensland would like the Brisbane City Council to consider naming the new Milton Tennis Courts “The Roy Emerson Courts or Roy Emerson Tennis Centre.”

We feel this would recognise and honour Emerson, a local sporting identity who used his brilliant playing skills to win 12 Men’s Grand Slam titles. In fact, ending his career with a record tally of 28 Grand Slam titles is an Australian achievement that still stands today as the all time highest.
