The State “Inter-Academy” Challenge will bring together Queensland’s best 12/U academy athletes to compete against each other in a fun and competitive “team based” competition.
14 teams from across Queensland have been invited to compete in the event, which will take place from April 28-30 at the Queensland Tennis Centre- home of the Brisbane International.
This initiative is part of the Tennis Australia Talent Development Camp series which take place 6 times during the year in Brisbane and regional areas.
Aside from competitive team based competition, the State “Inter-Academy” Challenge will also provide workshops for parents and coaches and feature the following guest speakers:
- Jonah Oliver: Top Sport Psychologist at the National Academy Queensland who has worked with Queensland Roar and Essendon Football Club
- Stephan Widmer: Head Swim Coach at the Queensland Academy of Sport
- Rob Barty: Father of junior tennis prodigy Ashleigh Barty( Girls 2011 Wimbledon Champion)
