The Ingham Tennis Association is hoping to celebrate turning 65 years in 2014, with the erection of a free standing hitting wall. Although the club currently has a hitting wall, it is located on court, so when matches are in play, it is not accessible. It is envisioned that with the construction of a new wall, it can be used as a warm up wall whilst players wait to take the court.
The club is conducting an ‘Adopt a Brick’ campaign, with 150 bricks available for purchase. The money raised will contribute to the cost of building the wall and laying the concrete slab. Brick adoptions start from $55 – this includes a brick with a bronzed wall plaque displaying your name.
A giant thermometre is on display at the club, showing a progressive total of bricks adopted, represented by red stickers. If you would like an adoption application form, please contact the club on 4776 1030, or contact Steve Merker on 0429 837 414 / [email protected]
