The 2012 Queensland Tennis Awards Night was held on Saturday night, November 3, at Rydges Hotel, Southbank.
The event highlighted tennis in Queensland and showcased our state’s top achievers. From coaches to players to volunteers and great clubs that host the thousands of people who play tennis on a weekly basis, all gathered together to celebrate the previous 12 months of tennis accomplishments.
Award winners were as follows:
Most Outstanding Coach – MLC Hot Shots: Danial Stredder
Most Outstanding Coach – Club: Clint Fyfe
Most Outstanding Coach – High Performance: Clint Fyfe
Excellence in Officiating: Cheryl Jenkins
Most Outstanding Athlete with a Disability: Mitchell James
Most Outstanding 35 + Senior Player: Max Bates
Geoffrey E Griffith Order of Merit : Col Ackland
Most Outstanding Tennis Parents: Chris & Christine O’Mara
Most Outstanding Tennis Club: Beenleigh Tennis
Most Outstanding Tournament: Cairns International
Junior Player of the Year: Ashleigh Barty
Player of the Year : Sam Stosur
Life Member: Ashley Cooper
Life Member: Vic Bayer
