The 2013 Queensland Wheelchair Tennis Open had begun at the Queensland Tennis Centre and our Australian athletes are doing us proud!
The 2013 Queensland Wheelchair Tennis Open is an ITF Level 2 event and is open to players from throughout Australia and overseas. This event is held alongside the WTA and ATP Brisbane International and is the first event of the Australian Wheelchair Tennis Tour.
Players were able to sign in for the tournament on the 1st January and were treated to a welcome BBQ where the official draw was completed.
The tournament started on the 2nd of January, with players utilising Griffith University Tennis Centre for play. Today the athletes moved to the Queensland Tennis Centre in amongst the crowd of spectators for day five of the Brisbane International.
Athletes will have a presentation dinner on Saturday 5th of January at Rydges, Southbank where the presentation of awards will take place.
We wish all competitors including our wheelchair athletes from Queensland and interstate the best of luck in their matches!
