The Australian Government’s Active After-school Communities program in conjunction with Tennis Queensland, Toowoomba Regional Tennis Centre and BG Tennis invited 100 kids from local Toowoomba Vacation Care Centre’s to come to a MLC Tennis Hot Shots Tennis Fun and Games Day last week.
The kids had a great day moving from activity to activity and it gave many participants the opportunity either to try an activity they may never have had a chance to experience or to develop their Tennis skills.
Many of the kids commented on how great MLC Tennis Hot Shots was given the smaller courts, lighter racquets and low compression balls which made it a lot easier for them to give it a go!
Tennis Queensland Community Tennis Officers were present to assist on court as well as deliver the ‘Fast Serve Machine’ which was definitely a hit amongst not only the kids, but also the carers, coaches and staff!
Both the AASC and Tennis Queensland were proud to offer this opportunity to engage in a great outdoor activity at one of Toowoomba’s newest sporting facilities.
Thanks to the crew from AASC for inviting us to be an integral part of this day!
