The Hot Shots version of the French Open was fiercely competed for over the weekend at Morningside Tennis Centre and Queensland Tennis Centre. Children from the ages 5 to 12 took to the court in the hope of imitating their tennis heroes and win their respective tournaments.
It was great day had by all with spectators and players alike enjoying the atmosphere and an exciting day of Hot Shots Tennis. Many of the children aimed to follow in the footsteps of Rafa Nadal and become immortalised in the French Open Hot Shots Challenge by winning on the day.
In the spirit of the Hot Shots ethos awards were presented on the day for more than just winning. These included recognising the child in each colour for outstanding sportsmanship, determination and a Hot Shot Hero award for children who show a combination of all of these values.
