Junior Rockhampton star, Joshua Holloway has recently returned after competing for Australia at the 2013 INAS World Tennis Championships in the Czech Republic.
After great performances in the singles, doubles and teams event, Josh left with a Silver medal in both the Open Men’s Doubles event and Open Men’s teams event with Brisbane’s Mitchell James. The pair have played together many times with the more recent title of Australia champions.
The boys played exceptionally well in both events and the singles competition.
“The World Championships for ID (Intellectually disabled) is basically the pinnacle for the players, and as far as we can go,” Holloway stated prior to the event.
Overall, Australia came home with 17 medals across all 6 players which is a wonderful effort by all involved.
Team Manager, Nikita Williams stated, “the event was a great success and all the players represented their country with utmost pride and passion.”
Congratulations Josh and to all his teammates, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!
