The AO Blitz is a national competition that allows people who play tennis – and those who have never picked up a racquet – the chance to win major prizes. It’s an interactive online competition that invites individuals, schools and clubs to take on a series of tennis-themed challenges. Registered participants earn points for every challenge they complete, which are then awarded to their town.

The towns that earn the most points will be represented on court by one of the world’s top tennis players at Australian Open 2014 – giving your club the chance to be part of the AO action, like never before!…

The AO Blitz will visit communities across Queensland and all over Australia to encourage people to play tennis, learn about tennis opportunities in the region and take part in the competition.

During an “AO Blitz Visit” your town will be painted blue with tennis! Activations will take place at local schools and high traffic spaces close to your club and we’ll be promoting tennis in the media, online and through our weekly online AO Blitz TV show to create interest and excitement in our sport within the community.

Activations near you may include:

· Photo opportunities with the Australian Open trophies

· Free MLC Tennis Hot Shots and Cardio Tennis clinics

· Speed serve and other fun, tennis-themed activities

· AO Blitz ambassador visits (including high profile names like Billy Slater and Spongebob Squarepants!)
