AO Blitz hits the Sunshine Coast this weekend
The AO Blitz will arrive on the Sunshine Coast this weekend, Saturday 14 September and Sunday 15 September, as part of the largest participation drive in Australian tennis history.
The AO Blitz is a national competition that allows people who play tennis – and those who have never picked up a racquet – the chance to win major prizes and have an Australian Open 2014 player represent their local town.
In the lead-up to Australian Open 2014 the AO Blitz will be visiting communities in every state and territory of Australia, encouraging Australians of all ages and tennis abilities to pick up a racquet.
This weekend the AO Blitz will visit Kings Beach, Caloundra and Noosa Beach on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th respectively.
On both days locals and visitors will have the chance to get up close to the prestigious Australian Open trophies, Norman Brookes Challenge Cup and Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup, and experience the entertaining tennis activities, plus take home some fun giveaways.
On Sunday at the Noosa AO Blitz activation, a major Tennis Australia announcement will also take place, featuring an Australian tennis legend.
