This year tennis was on display at the annual event of the Gold Coast Show. The event was held on the 30,31^st August and 1^st of September. The event was a BIG three days, but was very successful for tennis on the Gold Coast. The event was a great way for us to get tennis out to the Gold Coast and wider community. We were able to provide a great exposure of all the fantastic facilities and programs that tennis has to offer on the Gold Coast.

Thank you very much too all the clubs who came along and volunteered their time to help us out at the show. It was fantastic to have the support and the help from both coaches and committee members for this event.

Also a huge thank you to all our coaches who participating in our School Lead In program to promote the Gold Coast Show! The two weeks before the school we visited over 3000 kids to promote the Gold Coast show and to also give these schools the opportunity of experiencing tennis. Thank you to all these coaches who participating in this lead in program! We appreciate your time and support.

On the Sunday the 1^st of September, Tennis Australia came up to support our event in conjunction with the AO Blitz program. Tennis Australia brought along the Australian Open Trophies and we also had guest appearances from Sponge Bob square pants (which was a huge hit with the kids).  The AO Blitz is an interactive online competition that invites individuals, schools and clubs to take on a series of tennis-themed challenges to win great prizes. Registered participants earn points for every challenge they complete, which are then awarded to their town. The towns that earn the most points will be represented on court by one of the world’s top tennis players at Australian Open 2014.
