12 September 2013 | Tennis Queensland
On Monday the 2nd of September, Tennis Australia, Breakpoint Tennis and Tennis Queensland went to Tallebudgera State School for the AO Blitz. Tallebudgera State School along with Breakpoint Tennis have been strong supporters of the Tennis Australia, National School Partnership Program. Through this program the school was able to able for the National Court rebate scheme and secured two BRAND NEW HOT SHOT COURTS!!
Mini courts provide young children with the chance to have a go at tennis and enjoy the game at a size and skill level that suits them. By building these courts at their school, Tallebugera are giving even their smallest students the opportunity to experience the game and get involved in a sport that has for so long been a challenge for younger grades to conquer.
The new courts look Fantastic and will help continue to strength tennis at Tallebudgera State School!
To celebrate this exciting new opportunity, Breakpoint Tennis, Tennis Australia and Tennis Queensland were a part of the whole day activation at the school! For the day we brought some of the fun of the AO Blitz to the school including tennis mascot Terry the Tennis Ball, the Brisbane
International trophies and some of the tennis challenges from the AO Blitz competition.
Taking centre stage from now until the start of the Australian Open and beyond, the AO
Blitz invites people, clubs and schools to take up a number of tennis ‘challenges’ and be in the running for major prizes, sports grants and the chance to adopt a player at Australian Open 2014.
