Beenleigh AO Blitz

Tennis was on display this year at the Beenleigh show.  The Beenleigh Tennis Club joined with Tennis Australia’s AO Blitz program on Friday the 13^th of September to showcase to the community all what tennis has to offer in the Beenleigh Community. The event was a great way for us to get tennis out to the Northern Gold Coast and wider community.

Thank you very much to Beenleigh Tennis club who came along and volunteered their time to help Tennis Australia for the AO Blitz program at the show. It was fantastic to have the support and the help during this event.

Beenleigh Tennis Club visited five schools in the area prior to the Beenleigh show to let the public know all that was coming to the Beenleigh show and to try and help grow tennis in the community.

Tennis Australia came up to support our event in conjunction with the AO Blitz program. Tennis Australia brought along the Australian Open Trophies, and the public where able to get there photo taken with the trophies.  The AO Blitz is an interactive online competition that invites individuals, schools and clubs to take on a series of tennis-themed challenges to win great prizes. Registered participants earn points for every challenge they complete, which are then awarded to their town. The towns that earn the most points will be represented on court by one of the world’s top tennis players at Australian Open 2014.
