20 November 2013 | Tennis Queensland

The Queensland Government welcomed all participating schools, students, teachers, school staff, local club representatives, sport development officers, community members and elders to the 2013 Chinchilla Deadly Sports day on the 19th November.

The Deadly Sports program is one such program that promotes sport, active recreation, exercise and the importance of living a healthy and active lifestyle, particularly in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The Deadly Sports Ambassadors (including elite current and former athletes) are great role models for all young Queenslanders, and help to promote the benefits of an active and healthy lifestyle. Students enjoyed and learnt from these outstanding athletes across the day.

Tennis Queensland engaged over 100 students in the opportunity to have a go of MLC Tennis Hot Shots with every student taking home a great prize!

Daniel Wyles and Percy Anderson from Chinchilla State School enjoyed sporting their MLC Tennis Hot Shots t-shirts!
