Ryan Coffey – New Far North Region Community Tennis Officer

The Far North Region is happy to welcome their new Community Tennis Officer (CTO) Ryan Coffey to the role.

A local boy from Cairns that started playing at the age of seven and has continued to play in the Far North region ever since. Ryan was nationally competitive as a Australian Junior making QAS and captaining Queensland in Pizzey Cup before being selected in the Australian team.

At 18 Ryan moved over to the United States on tennis scholarship where he played for four years and coached for one, after two years in Oklahoma and three in Hawaii he returned in May of 2013 to play local tournaments and coach before accepting the position as the CTO.

Ryan has a huge passion for the region and alot of energy to put into this new role making it an exciting time for the region with lots of promise to move forward.
