3 January 2014 | Tennis Queensland
The 2014 Brisbane International was an exciting time for affiliates, not only to be amongst the live action of the tennis but to attend the Presidents’ Morning Tea on the 30th December.
The Presidents’ Morning Tea is a chance for committees of affiliated clubs to attend the Brisbane International, get together and be rewarded for their involvement in Tennis throughout the year with many prizes on offer. Committees rubbed shoulders with past players including Mal Anderson, Ashley Cooper and Pat Rafter whilst Peter Psaltis from 4BC was MC for the day.
This year, the following clubs were drawn in raffles to receive funds or equipment:
Congratulations to Charters Towers Inc. (North Region) which was drawn to win $2,000 worth of equipment and four boxes of tennis balls as a part of the ‘early affiliation’ competition. Affiliates that paid their 2014 affiliation fee prior to December 28, 2013 were entered into the draw, congratulations Charters Towers!
Congratulations to Atherton Tennis Club Inc. (Far North Region), West Brisbane Tennis Centre (Metropolitan Region) who won $4,000 and Moranbah Tennis Association Inc. (North Region) who were drawn as a recipients of $3,000 for Tennis Queensland affiliates who have shown an increase in registration numbers from December 2012 – December 2013.
