Miami Tennis Club – Medibank Junior Development – Round Up
Congratulations to all who participated in our second Medibank Junior Development tournament, which was held at Miami Tennis Centre on the 16th and 23rd of March. With 168 entries in totally this year looks to be a great year for our junior development tournaments on the Gold Coast.
Due to fantastic numbers for the MJDS the first weekend we used Miami Tennis Club, Gold Coast Seniors and Gold Coast Albert Junior. Thank you to these venues for helping out over the tournament.
The Medibank Junior Development Series is an important program in the player development pathway on the Gold Coast. It allows for young players to compete and develop their skills before entering into the next stage of development.
It was two very warm weekend for all juniors who participated. There were a lot of great close singles matches played over the two days. We are lucky to have a lot of new greenball players experience their first tournaments this year with a record of 30 entries in greenball.
Huge congratulations and thank you to the team at Miami Tennis Club for as always providing a welcoming environment for the tournament. The next Medibank Junior Development Series Event will be held at Beenleigh Tennis Club on the 4h and 11th of May, with entries now open.
