The finals of the Strive4college Queensland Junior Winter International will be held at Kawana Tennis Club this Saturday July 26 at 10am. There will also be a Tennis Fun Day at the club including a jumping castle, fastest serve machine, Terry the Tennis Ball, free use of the courts, Tennis Hot Shots courts, free sausage sizzle and heaps of prizes and giveaways for kids.
The 18 and Under tournament is part of the World Junior Tour and features players from 10 countries. Number 1 seed in the Boys event is Yoya Ito from Japan while the Girls number 1 seed is Sara Tomic. Tomic is looking to make the final of an ITF 18/U event for the second week in a row after an impressive showing as runner up at the Gold Coast event last week. Daniel Hobart (South Australia) has continued his winning streak this week at Kawana after winning his first ITF title on the Gold Coast.
