Mudgeeraba Tennis Club on the Gold Coast has undergone a facelift of a different kind with the addition of a 7x3m mural to the clubhouse.

The art work was painted by local artist Nick Davis and took five days to complete.

Club President Drew Maywald said the art work has created enormous interest in and is now a landmark in the community.

“One of the spin offs is that our coaches have been taking their hotshot kids up to it to use it as a coaching aid,” he said.

The club will be auctioning off another piece created by Nick at their Christmas party, with a percentage of the proceeds going back to the club’s building fund.
