Heritage Bank has been a proud supporter of Tennis Queensland for the past nine years. Together the partnership has raised over $180,000 to help clubs create more welcoming facilities, improving the experience for players and families and ultimately growing the sport in their community.
Thanks to Heritage’s support a record 23 clubs were successful in receiving development grants including Shaw Park Tennis Centre who used the funds to install a new sound system in their Pro Shop and cafeteria areas.
The club’s Assistant Manager, Scott Beckingsale said that the new system has been well received by their members.
“When the kids, parents and players arrive at the club, there’s a good feeling. It’s upbeat and it just adds to the already existing atmosphere,” Beckingsale said.
Other successful recipients used the money to fund a variety of projects including signage, shade installation, lighting and general clubhouse repairs.
