What an event it was! Over 40 participants turned out for the Hot Shots Street Challenge Finale which was held at Yarrabilba last weekend and hosted by Future Pros Tennis Academy.
1 road closure, 2 enthusiastic tennis coaches, 3 staff from Tennis Queensland/Lend Lease, 20 Hot Shots mini nets, 50 red compression tennis balls, 80 drop down lines, 400 pegs as well as many helpful parents helped the afternoon of Hot Shots Tennis run smoothly.
The competitors aged as young as 4 competed in a round robin that consisted of 5 minute matches on a Hot Shots 3 metre Red court using pegs to assist with scoring. The day was broken up into 3 divisions and each division was broken up into two pools of players.
For many of the participants, this was their first Hot Shots challenge experience and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It was a great afternoon of tennis and it could not have been possible without the help of AJ & Kyle from Future Pros Tennis Academy.
