The Mareeba JDS had 104 players battling it out up on the table lands in great conditions while Cairns struggled in the shadow of Cyclone Nathan before he did his U turn.

We still got the JDS in, as usual it was a huge success, our awesome JDS coordinator Wayne Fielder got up to Mareeba a day early to make sure the tournament could go ahead and so that none of us had to make the drive unnecessarily which thankfully wasn’t needed.

Our next event is not far off!!! with 50 entries already in its looking like being a big event yet again!! It will be the last singles event for 8 weeks making it the last chance to have a solid hit out before going back to training hard for the next JDS.

Earlville and Woree are hosting this event for the first time in a long time, there is a lot of excitement from both clubs and it is great to be able to play at some different venues we don’t usually get to use.
