On Wednesday the 8th of April, 21 participants representing 9 clubs and associations across the coast took part in a computer software workshop for programs that included Tournament Planner and Competitions Planner. The workshop was led by Tournaments and Competitions Coordinator from Tennis Queensland, Travis Dragojlo. Listed below is information on the two programs which are available free of charge to Tennis Queensland Affiliates. Tournament Planner: Tournament Planner (TP) is the software package available as a benefit to Tennis Queensland affiliates to run tournaments. All Australian Ranking point tournaments and JDS tournaments use TP with the package available for all affiliate to use for their club championships or any other tournament that they conduct. A great opportunity to learn the software and make all events at your club in a digital format.
Competition Planner: Competition Planner (CP) is a free online competition management system that allows players to view their draws, results and statistics in real time. This easy-to-use program has been designed for managing team-based leagues and is the only league-management software that is endorsed by Tennis Australia. Competition Planner was designed with the league administrator in mind – the workload is distributed to the teams, making life easier for administrators.
With Competition Planner you can:
-view draws, ladders and statistics
-generate fixtures automatically
-manage tournaments
-calculate ladders automatically
-communicate with players
-send match details to media
-manage team availability and selection
-generate detailed statistical reports
-manage players’ ratings.
