The Queensland Pizzey Cup team travelled to Tasmania to partake in the 2015 Secondary Schools Tennis Championships held from the 3rd – 9th of May. The team consisted of 8 boys (Will Maher, Alexander Pavkovich, Trystan Martin, Jayden Court, Patrick Harper, Matthew Hulme, Alex Liron, Nicolas Le Pers) and 8 girls (Somer Dalla-Dona, Sarah Brown, Lara Tupper, Lily Clements-Markham, Danielle Morris, Megan Smith, Tayah Cross, Samantha Cameron).

Over the course of the 7 days the players competed in the teams competition (Pizzey Cup) against the other six states as well as the individual competition (Tennis Australia Cup). The QLD team battled admirably finishing with an overall record of 3 wins and 3 losses which, on a countback, placed them in a respectable 3rd position.

Special mention should go to Jayden Court who made it through to the quarter finals of the individual event before falling to the number 8 seed from NSW.
